Celebrate World Environment Day 2020 with Biodiversity

World Environment Day Ibandhu

So, today everyone is celebrating World Environment Day 2020 on Twitter, Facebook, WhatsApp and other social networking platforms. Those were the days when we as kids celebrated World Environment Day in schools.

Our teachers use to form troops of students and assign various tasks to us. Some of them were assigned to prepare a good presentation on awareness and importance of trees, water, and environment. Some of them were asked to prepare a drama on life with trees; some of them were assigned to bring plant saplings.  5thJune is celebrated as Environmental day globally and we used to gather in our campus with the help of teacher and fellow class mates.

Even today so many organisations and schools are arranging various campaigns to save environment and most of them end after few photographs and selfies with plants. We really do not understand the values of environment and wasting natural resources with closed eyes.

In real, we should teach our children the value of environment and entice them to take care of environment every day.  After plantations, we should take care of plats for at least 6-8 months; we should feed them with Compost so it can grow properly.

Today, India’s Prime Minister Narendra Modi, requested citizens to maintain planet’s biodiversity. He posted below message on twitter;

“On #WorldEnvironmentDay, we reiterate our pledge to preserve our planet’s rich biodiversity. Let us collectively do whatever possible to ensure the flora and fauna with whom we share the Earth thrive. May we leave an even better planet for the coming generations.” – Narendra Modi on Twitter

World Environment Day Ibandhu

Environmental day was celebrated in 1974 first time in USA. The tradition transferred to whole world and after 46 years whole world is celebrating World Environment Day. This year, due to Covid-19 pandemic people are cinched in the four walls of the home and usual celebrations may not be done but we can assure ourselves by taking care of existing plants. Just like exercise and praying, we should add environment care in our daily schedule.

Although, outdoor celebration is not being upheld worldwide, various organisations are expected to conduct online activities to promote environmental protection.

Bush fires in Australia, fires in Amazon forest, pollution level everything is a lesson to us and feels like hint given by God to us that if we don’t protect our Environment, it will be difficult for us and following generations to rove a life on earth.

The best Quotes on World Environment Day,

“Let’s nurture the nature so that we can have a better future“

“Nature is our treasure, help save it.”

“It is our duty to save environment’s beauty.”

“Live green

Love green

Be Green

We are just mankind…without the earth we’re nothing.”

“Save earth, it’s the only planet with chocolate.”

“Imagine if trees gave off Wifi signals, we would be planting so many trees and we’d probably save the planet too. Too bad they only produce the oxygen we breathe.”

“It is not the sun that wither the plants to death but the man who gradually beats the trees to death.”

“The earth has a skin and that skin has diseases; one of its diseases is called man.” – Friedrich Nietzsche

“Earth provides enough to satisfy every man’s need, but not every man’s greed.” – Mahatma Gandhi

“What we are doing to the forests of the world is but a mirror reflection of what we are doing to ourselves and to one another.” – Mahatma Gandhi

“A nation that destroys its soil, destroys itself.” – Franklin D. Roosevelt

“A town is saved, not more by the righteous men in it than by the woods and swamps that surround it.” – Henry David Thoreau

“Dear future generations: Please accept our apologies. We were rolling drunk on petroleum.” – Kurt Vonnegut

Final words:

Let us pledge, we will not infelicitous mother environment anymore and will take care of trees, animals, water and other natural resources. Recently, heart wrenching incident happened in Kerala, where villagers fed Pregnant Elephant with explosive pineapple. Which has damaged lower jaw of mother elephant, and she died with fetus. Human should stop such cruelty as it is going to impact us contrariwise. Save Earth, Save Environment, Save Life and Save Future!
