When touring England by the Australian team, the home team’s performance is pretty good. Out of 5 T20I series, the home side won thrice with two draws. Visiting team is still looking for the first series victory, while visiting.

Victory brings points:
The series is the comparison between the second rank team (England) and first rank team (Australia) team, almost a perfect series. The host is 10 points behind the visitors.
The host has a chance to reach on the top position in T20I rankings. If the team could manage to win by two-nil or three-nil, then the team could reach on the first position. The team will stay in the same position with increased points if the host will be able to win either the series with the difference of one win or drawing the series. In case of losing the series with the difference of one defeat, the team will lose the points but stay in the same position. In case of series defeat without any win, the team will lose the position as well.
On the other hand, the visitors are in a position that the team has to win the series with any combination to increase the points. Even if the visiting team will lose the series with not more than one defeat difference, then the team will lose the points but stay on the top of the table. In the only situation, when the visitors will lose the series by two-nil or three-nil, the team will lose the position.
The result of the first match will impact the team’s points, as if the result will go in favor of the host then the team will gain three points and the visitors will lose the same points with no position changes for either team. On the other hand, in case of reverse result, the visitors will gain two points without any impact of position but the host will lose the same points with losing the position with one rank.
