1st T20I:

First meeting of the series of three T20I matches between Pakistan and Zimbabwe is going to be played at the Rawalpindi Cricket Stadium, Rawalpindi on November 7th 2020. The teams will play the first bilateral T20I series, which contains more than two matches.

Zimbabwe Tour of Pakistan History:

This is going to be the fifth bilateral series between the teams. Pakistan won the all series, whereas Zimbabwe is still searching for the first series victory.

When touring Pakistan by the Zimbabwean team, this is going to be a second series. The only series was won by the home side.

The teams completed 11 meetings in the shortest format of cricket, till date. Out of them, the host won all 11 times and never lost.

On the soil of Pakistan, the teams faced each other only twice. The visiting team is waiting for the first victory.

The series is the comparison between the Fourth rank team (Pakistan) and eleventh rank team (Zimbabwe) team. The host is way ahead (70 points) of the visitors.

The host would earn just a point in case of defeating the visitors by three-nil with no improvement in ranking. In case of winning series by 2-1, the host would lose  2-3 points. Host would lose the rank in case of series defeat by 2-1 and lose 6-7 points as well. The team will lose 11 points in case of three-nil defeat. The team will lose the rank even in case of drawing the series.

On the other hand, the visitors are in a position that the team may lose the rank in case of three-nil defeat with just a point, but in case of three-nil will will help the team to earn 14 points. Even a single win with series defeat will help the team to earn 3-4 points. Team won’t improve the position in any case but will earn 8-9 points with series win.

The result of the first match will impact the team’s points, as if the result will go in favor of the host then the team will gain one points but the visitors won’t lose any points with no position changes for either team. On the other hand, in case of reverse result, the visitors will gain five points without any impact of position but the host will lose three points with losing the position with one rank.
